Sommelier Role – Café Boulud Waldorf Astoria London – Admiralty Arch, Pre-Opening Team
Waldorf Astoria London – Admiralty Arch is seeking an experienced Sommelier for Café Boulud to join the founding pre-opening team for this highly anticipated luxury hotel, set to open later this year.
About the Role
This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for a seasoned luxury hotelier to shape the guest experience at one of the most iconic London landmarks. Located at the end of The Mall, opposite Buckingham Palace, Waldorf Astoria London will comprise:
- 100 elegant rooms and suites
- 17,500 sqft of private residences
- Two signature restaurants: Coreus by Clare Smyth and Café Boulud by Daniel Boulud
- World-class spa, fitness facilities, and grand event spaces (including a 320-seater ballroom)

Responsibilities
- Contribute to the pre-opening launch of Café Boulud, ensuring impeccable levels of service and guest satisfaction.
- Provide expert wine knowledge, pairings, and recommendations to align with Café Boulud’s Michelin-starred reputation.
- Collaborate with the team to uphold the world-class service standards recognised by Forbes and industry leaders.
- Engage with guests to deliver a distinctly elevated, personalised dining experience.
** Requirements**
- Proven expertise as a Sommelier or Wine Educator, preferably in a luxury hospitality setting.
- Hands-on experience in Michelin-starred or high-end gastronomy environments.
- Enthusiasm for beverage service excellence and passion for shaping a curated guest experience.
