Sommelier
Introduction to the site and role:
The Pig and Butcher is a critically acclaimed, Michelin listed, 2 AA rosette pub and restaurant. We have an extensive wine list of over 450 bins sourced from family run vineyards. Our menu specialises in country style cooking, working closely with the best farms in the UK we receive whole carcasses of rare and native breeds and we butcher our meat on site.
We are currently recruiting an experienced Sommelier to join our fantastic front of house team at The Pig and Butcher. We offer excellent packages including competitive salary, achievable bonus, a work life balance and a whole lot more.

About You:
- Have exceptional communication and people skills
- Be able to create a seamless journey & outstanding wine experience for guests
- Must be able to work well under pressure in a fast pace environment
- Ensure that all the wine service is under control
- Have a deep understanding of wines, regions and trends
- Be confident in updating wine list
- Cherish good relationships with our wine suppliers
- Be engaging and able to provide wine courses for all the staff
- Must have a minimum of WSET level 2 qualification
