About the Role
Provide expert guidance to guests, delivering an exceptional wine service experience that complements our modern Italian cuisine.
- Assist in maintaining the wine cellar, including stock control, storage, and inventory management.
- Support the bar operation when required, demonstrating confident bartending skills and knowledge of cocktails, spirits, and beverage service.
- Prepare and serve cocktails, spirits, aperitifs, and other beverages to the highest service standards when supporting the bar team.
- Collaborate closely with the Head Sommelier, bar team, and front-of-house staff to deliver excellence across the beverage program.
- Enhance guests’ dining experiences through your passion for wine, refined service, bartending ability, and deep product knowledge.
Key Criteria
- Have previous experience as a Sommelier or Bartender in a similar high-end beverage service role within a luxury restaurant or hotel environment.
- Previous bartending experience is required, with a strong understanding of cocktails, spirits, liqueurs, aperitifs, and general bar operations.
- Demonstrate strong knowledge of Italian wines and global wine regions; formal wine qualifications (WSET or equivalent) are preferred.
- Be confident working across both wine and bar service, with the ability to move between sommelier and bartending responsibilities as required.
- Possess excellent communication and teamwork skills, with confidence in collaborating effectively across restaurant and bar teams.
- Be flexible to work evenings, weekends, and holidays in a fast-paced, fine-dining environment.
- Maintain a high standard of professionalism, attention to detail, and service when working in both the restaurant and bar areas.
