Sonographer Positions at Korus Health

We are a small, dynamic company with a family feel and are excited to be looking to recruit two new sonographers to join our friendly and well supported ultrasound team. We run clinics in the community across Cornwall, Devon, Avon & Somerset and West Midlands with a focus on excellent and compassionate patient care.

We are a busy, award-winning company working in partnership with the NHS Trusts to provide services that allow patients to choose their preferred place, date and time and we are proud to run an efficient service with reduced waiting times.

Main Duties of the Job

Candidates must hold either the DMU or PgCert/Dip/MSC in Medical Ultrasound, and HCPC (or other professional body) registration and have at least 2 years post-qualification in ultrasound experience.

We support the NHS with non-obstetric ultrasound scans and most of our examinations are gynaecological and general abdominal.

The ideal applicants must be flexible, adaptable to change and be willing to contribute to an efficient service delivery through the highest standards of safe and compassionate patient care.

Sonographers need to be professionally, legally and legally responsible and accountable for all aspects of work including clinical practice and commit to a high standard of clinical care.

They will undertake comprehensive investigations of patients, including those with the most complex presentation, using investigative and analytical skills and using agreed protocols and following company policies and procedures.

Sonographers will assess and manage clinical risk within their own clinic list and be proactive in seeking support from colleagues and/or clinical lead as needed.

Sonographers will autonomously compose and verify a written report which records the observations made during the examination, their significance and any limitations of the study. They will take responsibility for the accuracy of the report and ensure that the report is communicated according to the pathways in place including when there are significant findings.

About Us

We would welcome applications from sonographers with at least two years ultrasound scanning experience post qualification who are confident to work autonomously to perform high quality examinations. You will work in the community with a healthcare assistant and our remote clinical support team to assist you in the delivery of patient care.

We are committed to supporting individuals to feel fulfilled at work and place high value on open communication within a supportive environment. We are proud to have created a flexible workplace environment based on trust and understanding.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
