Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role based in Westhill, where the Sonographer will perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures, focusing on patient care and high-quality imaging and reports. Responsibilities include:

- Maintain ultrasound equipment
- Undertaking routine quality assurance checks and arranging planned or emergency maintenance schedules for the ultrasound machine(s)
- Explain the ultrasound procedure to patients and respond to queries as required
- Undertake independent ultrasound examinations and reporting
- Deal sensitively with patients, before, during and after their scan
- Maintain patient records, update administrative records, and add relevant medical notes relating to the ultrasound procedure, including PACS and RIS systems
- Liaise with the wider team and collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care
Qualifications

- Proficiency in medical imaging techniques, including radiology and vascular imaging
- HCPC Registration
- Strong foundation in medicine and patient care
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team and handle a fast-paced clinical environment
- Experience in diagnostic sonography and familiarity with advanced imaging technologies
- Commitment to adhering to healthcare safety and quality standards
