JOIN THE NATIONAL HEART CLINIC

The National Heart Clinic is an independent cardiology clinic providing consultant led care at Harley Street and Richmond. We support patients with timely cardiovascular assessment and a professional, patient centered experience delivered by an experienced clinical team.

THE OPPORTUNITY

We are looking for an experienced sonographer to join our growing team at Richmond. This is an opportunity for a careful and service focused professional to support the safe, accurate, and efficient delivery of diagnostic and health screening services.

The successful candidate will perform and report high quality ultrasound examinations, contribute to service development, support junior colleagues and deliver an exceptional patient experience consistent with private healthcare standards.

ROLE DETAILS

  • Location: Richmond, London, with occasional cross site support if required
  • Salary: £45,000 to £52,000 per annum, depending on experience
  • Hours: 39 hours per week, full time or part time
  • Working pattern: Monday to Friday, with flexibility for Saturdays as the service develops
  • Contract: Permanent

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

  • Perform and independently report ultrasound examinations
  • Undertake abdominal, carotid artery, thyroid, testicular and breast, gynecological ultrasound examinations (whilst all the above anatomical areas are preferred, this is not essential)
  • Support cardiovascular and preventative health screening programs
  • Provide clear and compassionate communication to patients
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation and reports
  • Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and clinical governance activities
  • Support service development, quality improvement and innovation initiatives
  • Mentor and support junior staff and trainees
  • Maintain professional registration and CPD requirement
  • Deliver a concierge level patient experience aligned to the highest standards

ABOUT YOU

Essential criteria

  • Postgraduate qualification in Medical Ultrasound or equivalent
  • Extensive experience across general ultrasound practice
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong commitment to patient centered care
  • Experience producing independent ultrasound reports
  • Commitment to CPD and clinical excellence
  • Up to date technical knowledge and IT skills

Desirable criteria

  • Experience within private healthcare
  • Vascular and/or MSK ultrasound experience
  • Experience in executive health screening programs
  • Teaching or mentoring experience
