Job Title: Sonographer, Obstetrics & Gynaecology

Location: Leicester

Contract Type: Permanent

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate HCPC registered Sonographer (SOR membership and PI insurance required) to join our Leicester clinic. This is a permanent opportunity offering competitive rates and the chance to deliver first-class ultrasound services in obstetrics and gynaecology.

Main Purpose of the Job

To provide exceptional ultrasound scanning services, ensuring patients and families are fully informed, comfortable, and supported throughout their journey.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform accurate scans from 6–40 weeks gestation using internal and external techniques.
  • Deliver high-quality obstetric and gynaecological ultrasound services, including reassurance and gender scans.
  • Produce clear, accurate images and confidently explain scan outcomes with professionalism and compassion.
  • Handle sensitive situations with empathy, following NHS referral pathways when anomalies are identified.
  • Collaborate with clinic staff to create a memorable, patient-centred experience.
  • Adhere to health and safety standards, including ALARA principles.
  • Maintain HCPC and SOR registrations and support training of colleagues in advanced imaging.
  • Ensure accurate administration and record-keeping.

Requirements

  • HCPC registration and SOR membership (including PI insurance cover).
  • Proven experience in obstetric and gynaecological ultrasound.
