Hope House Children’s Hospices have an opportunity for a Full-Time Sorting Hub Assistant to join our team based in Oswestry. You will join us on a permanent basis working 37.5 hours per week, weekend working required to deliver stock to our shops. In return, our Sorting Hub Assistant will receive a competitive rate of £24,786 - £25,281 per annum (Dependant on experience).
Hope House Children’s Hospices is a charity that gives every local child with life threatening condition and their family access to professional care and improves their quality of life from the point of diagnosis.
About the Sorting Hub Assistant role:
As a Sorting Hub Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting our retail operation by helping to sort, price, process, and distribute donated goods across our shop network. You'll also undertake driving duties, including collecting donations and transferring stock between locations.

Working alongside the Sorting Hub Manager, staff, and volunteers, you'll help maintain high standards of organisation, customer service, and operational efficiency, ensuring we maximise income to support local children with life-threatening conditions and their families.
We are looking for a Sorting Hub Assistant who:
- Is enthusiastic, reliable, and passionate about supporting our charitable mission.
- Has experience in a warehouse, logistics, retail, or charity retail environment.
- Holds a full, clean UK driving licence and is confident carrying out collection and delivery duties.
- Has good organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Has an eye for quality and an awareness of fashion brands.
- Is flexible, adaptable, and willing to support the wider team where needed.
