Company Description

A-Live is an audio equipment rental and venue installation company based in Glasgow, serving clients across the globe. The company focuses on delivering the best possible audio experience for events of all sizes. A-Live offers a professional environment for audio specialists who want to work with the best equipment, on diverse projects and have a passion for weird audio.

Role Description

We have multiple opportunities available including full time PAYE, freelance and part time work, available all year.

Applicant Requirements

  • We require Sound Engineers for event work mostly mixing bands.
  • We need people who can mix a band and are preferably competent with Allen & Heath D-Live consoles and an ability to use Smaart. Assistance and training can be given in areas you are less strong in but the basic knowledge must be there.
  • Driving is essential, you must have held a UK license for at least 2 years to cover our fleet insurance needs. The events are all over the UK and you will be required to pick up equipment and a van from the yard in Clydebank, and drive to your gig. Applicants can be from anywhere commutable to Clydebank with your own transport.
  • Good troubleshooting skills, client interface and the ability to get results are essential.
  • Ability to perform the physical aspects of the role, including lifting and transporting audio equipment safely.
  • We work to a high standard and expect the same from all staff. Training and assistance are ongoing and we will always assist in career progression in all members of staff.
  • Wages are dependent on ability and skill set but we pay above industry norm, for the right people.
  • This may suit engineers from the corporate or venue sector looking to move to a more gig focused job.
  • Whilst they can be useful, a degree or qualification is not essential. The ability to be a self-starter and real world experience is more pertinent.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
