Job Summary

The Sourcing Agent - Singapore, is responsible for identifying and qualifying new suppliers, supporting new business opportunities, negotiating supplier agreements, and driving cost-saving initiatives. The role works closely with internal and overseas teams to ensure successful project implementation, improve supplier performance, and promote sourcing best practices.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and qualify potential new sources
  • Work closely with local sales and overseas teams to support all new business quoting activity
  • Review and negotiate supplier contracts, agreements and other terms and conditions
  • Identifies opportunities for sourcing excellence and cost savings and drive through to implementation
  • Ensure complete follow through of all new project implementations
  • Develop best sourcing practices to improve supplier performance

Requirements

  • Previous 2+ years of experience in a sourcing, procurement, purchasing, or supply chain role.
  • Experience working with suppliers and managing sourcing activities within a manufacturing, logistics, or commercial environment.
  • Proven track record of identifying and onboarding new suppliers.
  • Experience supporting quotation and tender processes for new business opportunities.
  • Understanding of procurement best practices and supplier performance management.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build effective relationships across local and international teams.
  • Good project management skills with the ability to manage multiple sourcing projects simultaneously.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
