JOB PURPOSE

The Sourcing Assistant will support the execution of Burberry’s sourcing strategy and help ensure the smooth coordination of seasonal product delivery across our supply chain. Working closely with internal teams and supplier partners, the role will play an important role in maintaining data accuracy, monitoring deliveries and helping products move efficiently from development through to production. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to operational excellence while supporting the craftsmanship, quality and innovation that define Burberry.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintain accurate sourcing and product data throughout the season, ensuring information is updated following buying meetings and range reviews.
  • Validate and confirm product, pricing and range information with suppliers and support the resolution of data queries in partnership with Finance.
  • Coordinate with suppliers to ensure raw materials and trims are delivered in line with production timelines and agreed ex-factory dates.
  • Create delivery planners, monitor shipment progress and produce regular SAP delivery reports.
  • Act as a key day-to-day contact for supplier partners, ensuring clear communication of timelines, requirements and critical milestones.
  • Analyse and prepare routine and ad hoc reporting, identifying potential delivery risks and escalating issues proactively.

PERSONAL PROFILE

  • Strong analytical skills with confidence working with data and numerical information.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
  • Knowledge of SAP, Flex or similar business systems would be advantageous.
  • Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering accurate, high-quality work.
  • Collaborative approach with effective communication and relationship-building skills.
