Sourcing Lead - Remote Contract Opportunity

Our client, a global leader in pharmaceutical company, is seeking a Sourcing Lead for a 3-6 month contingent engagement, working remotely.

Key Skills & Responsibilities

  • Strategic sourcing: Develop and execute sourcing strategies across complex laboratory and clinical service categories.
  • Procurement project management: Manage multiple sourcing projects end-to-end with clear timelines, deliverables, and savings targets.
  • RFx and eSourcing: Lead RFI/RFP events, bid analysis, and supplier evaluation using digital sourcing tools.
  • Negotiation: Drive commercial negotiations and support contract award and handover in collaboration with Legal, Quality, and Finance.
  • Benchmarking & analytical skills: Conduct spend analysis, market benchmarking, and build robust cost comparisons.
  • Excel & PowerPoint: Use advanced Excel for data analysis and PowerPoint for clear stakeholder presentations.
  • Laboratory categories & research CRO markets: Apply strong understanding of supplier landscapes, cost drivers, and market trends in pharma/biotech/life sciences.
  • Contract systems & SOP compliance: Support integration of agreements into source-to-pay systems and ensure adherence to procurement policies and quality standards.
  • Stakeholder management: Run stakeholder meetings, manage risks, and influence senior partners across our client's team.

Contract details:

  • £60-70 per hour
  • Inside IR35
  • Start date - ASAP
  • End date - February 2027
  • Fully remote
