ABOUT THE ROLE
We’re recruiting a Sourcing Manager to join an established retail and wholesale organisation, taking responsibility for sourcing and commercial performance across a key own-brand category portfolio.
Working closely with suppliers and internal stakeholders, you’ll identify opportunities to improve cost, strengthen supply and bring new products to market. This is a commercially focused role combining strategic sourcing, supplier management, negotiation, tendering and new product development.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Identifying and delivering cost of goods reduction opportunities
- Running supplier tenders and negotiating strong commercial outcomes
- Managing and developing supplier relationships
- Sourcing new products and suppliers to support range development
- Supporting own-brand products from sourcing through to launch
- Improving supplier service levels, availability and supply resilience
- Using market, supplier and category insight to identify opportunities and manage risk
- Working collaboratively across buying, commercial, supply chain and technical teams
- Managing multiple sourcing projects and priorities simultaneously

ABOUT THE CANDIDATE
We’re looking for an experienced Buyer, Sourcing Manager or Procurement professional with a strong commercial background gained within retail, wholesale or FMCG.
You’ll ideally bring:
- At least 2 years’ buying/sourcing experience within a retail or wholesale environment
- Experience working with own-brand/own-label products
- A strong understanding of cost prices, margins and cost-of-goods management
- Proven supplier negotiation and tendering experience
- Experience working with manufacturers and understanding production and supply chain considerations
- Strong commercial and analytical skills, with the ability to turn data into clear recommendations
- Experience managing NPD and/or new product sourcing projects
- Confidence influencing suppliers and multiple internal stakeholders
- Strong Excel and general Microsoft Office skills

Experience within grocery, food, drink or BWS would be particularly advantageous, although we’re open to candidates from other relevant FMCG categories with strong own-label sourcing experience.

Operating within a collaborative and commercially driven environment, the business works with an extensive supplier base to develop competitive, high-quality own-brand ranges for customers across the UK.
This is a great opportunity to join an experienced sourcing function where you’ll have genuine scope to influence supplier strategy, product development, cost reduction and commercial performance.
The role is based in North West London, with hybrid working and occasional UK and European travel.
