This Sourcing Manager role is a new position and is ideal for an individual who wants to progress their career in an environment with progression opportunities.
Excellent Flexible working - 2 days a week in the office and the rest from home
The role:
As Sourcing Manager, you will develop and manage the sourcing strategy for a key range of food products working with existing suppliers and sourcing new suppliers.
The Sourcing Manager will be responsible for negotiating cost-price increases and will develop and implement a plan to reduce cost of good to ensure margin targets are achieved.
In the role the Sourcing Manager will work collaboratively with suppliers on range and NPD opportunities ensuring that sustainable sources of supply are always achieved.
Using data and insights and working with internal and external stakeholders you will develop the strategic plan that will deliver long-term growth

Ideal candidate:
This Sourcing Manager role is ideal for a commercial individual who has food buying experience gained from UK food retail or wholesale. You could also be working within hospitality or within a commercial role within an own label food manufacturer.
It is essential to be able to demonstrate hands-on-related buying or commercial experience gained from the UK food industry and have negotiated directly with suppliers demonstrating different tactics and styles.
In addition, you will demonstrate a passion for the customer, product and a flair for commerciality
Working as part of a team you must have excellent relationship building skills, you will be able to communicate and influence with internal and external stakeholders.
As Sourcing Manager, you must have good insight and data analysis skills and be able to action opportunities to drive profit
You will have excellent planning and organization skills and will be able to work independently on your own initiative, a self-starter with can-do attitude
