The Role
As the Sourcing Manager for APAC, you will play a critical role in securing and shaping Climate Impact Partners’ supply chain across the region.
This is more than transactional—you’ll take a strategic approach to sourcing, ensuring alignment with portfolio needs, evolving quality standards, and client demand. Your focus will be on:
- Originating high-integrity project opportunities in APAC.
- Securing near-term and long-term volume.
- Building strong partnerships with project developers and ecosystem stakeholders.
- Aligning with regional regulatory trends, including Article 6-aligned opportunities.
The ideal candidate blends strong commercial acumen, deep carbon market expertise, and the ability to drive impactful, long-term relationships.

Responsibilities
Sourcing & Partnerships
- Build and manage a high-quality project pipeline aligned with regional and global supply priorities.
- Originate and secure partnerships with project developers across APAC.
- Structure and negotiate commercial agreements for volume, pricing, and long-term supply access.
- Develop trust-based relationships with key partners.
Strategy & Market Insight
- Contribute to regional sourcing strategy, identifying priority markets, project types, and partnership models.
- Monitor market trends, pricing dynamics, and methodology developments.
- Support forward-looking pipeline development to address future demand and portfolio gaps.
Quality & Portfolio Alignment
- Collaborate with Technical, Due Diligence, and Portfolio Management to ensure supply meets internal standards.
- Prioritise high-integrity projects, incorporating ratings, CCP status, and risk assessment.
- Ensure sourced projects are align with portfolio needs and industry demand.
Article 6 & Regulatory Engagement
- Identify and advance Article 6-aligned opportunities, including Corresponding Adjustments (CA) and CORSIA eligibility.
- Stay updated on regional compliance markets and regulatory shifts.
- Engage with ecosystem stakeholders—developers, intermediaries, and government actors—to position Climate Impact Partners as a trusted APAC partner.
Execution & Portfolio Management
- Manage deals through internal approval, contracting, and onboarding.
- Track project delivery, flag risks, and resolve delays or issues.
- Maintain accurate data in internal systems and support cross-functional collaboration.
Skills & Qualifications
Essential
- Years of commercial experience in carbon markets, with a focus on sourcing, business development, or deal-making.
- Proven track record in negotiating and finalising agreements with external partners.
- Experience and network in energy, agriculture, forestry, conservation, or natural resources.
- Knowledge of the Article 6 Framework and its role in carbon markets.
- Ability to build and manage relationships across diverse stakeholders.
- Strong commercial judgement and structured problem-solving approach.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Nationality or valid work visa for the host country.

- APAC experience, including prior work/living in the region.
- Existing network of project developers or industry partners in the region.
- Familiarity with carbon ratings, CCP frameworks, or quality benchmarks.
- Fast-paced, high-growth environment experience.
- Project or portfolio management background.
