Sourcing Manager – 6-month FTC or day rate contractor
As a Sourcing Manager, you'll lead on a varied mix of a mix of low-high level, complex procurement and tendering activity that supports the delivery of Nest's strategic priorities. Working closely with stakeholders across the organisation, you'll provide commercial expertise, shape sourcing strategies and oversee end-to-end procurement processes that deliver value for our members.
This is an opportunity to work on a diverse portfolio of high-value procurements that have a real impact on the organisation. From shaping sourcing strategies and engaging the market to running competitive tender processes and negotiating commercial agreements, you'll lead end-to-end procurement activity while building strong relationships across the business and helping create long-term value for Nest.
Responsibilities
- Lead a varied mix of low-high level, complex procurement and tendering activity.
- Provide commercial expertise, shape sourcing strategies and oversee end-to-end procurement processes.
- Engage the market, run competitive tender processes and negotiate commercial agreements.
- Build strong relationships across the business and create long-term value for Nest.
Minimum Criteria
- Strong knowledge of Managing Public Money, procurement legislation and public sector regulatory requirements, including PCR 2015 and the Procurement Act 2023.
- Experience delivering complex, high-value procurements from market engagement through to contract award.
- Proven ability to partner with stakeholders, understand business needs and provide trusted commercial advice.
- Experience drafting tender and contract documentation, managing evaluations and supporting supplier selection processes.
- Strong commercial awareness, including reviewing and negotiating contractual terms and conditions.
- Ability to balance value for money, risk and compliance while delivering positive outcomes for the organisation.

Directorate/Department Overview
The Finance Directorate, led by the Chief Financial Officer and their leadership team, is made up of three distinct teams:
- Finance
- Commercial Management
- Procurement
This role would be responsible for delivering core activity within the Strategic Sourcing Team.
