A bit about the role

This is an exciting opportunity to shape and implement the Procurement strategy and processes for the National Lottery for the next 10 years, as we build relationships with new and existing National Lottery suppliers.

A key aspect of this role is building collaborative relationships with our internal business partners across Facilities Management (Hard and Soft), Fleet, Business Operations, Retail Operations and Product (e.g. Scratchcards, InstantWin Games). Category knowledge within FM and Retail Operations is an essential requirement. Product experience is not a key requirement, but there may be some adhoc activity in this area.

The position will require strategic relationship management with suppliers as well as leading the end-to-end procurement process including supplier plan & research, scope design in conjunction with stakeholders, shortlisting of suppliers, RFP writing, selection, contract negotiation and completion of onboarding. The ideal candidate will be able to manage multiple time-sensitive requests, effectively engage stakeholders within all levels of management, including executive leadership and efficiently ensure the sustainable sourcing process is completed consistently with Allwyn UK policies and goals.

What you’ll be doing

  • Proactively own and manage regular stakeholder contact for your business areas and use this contact to build a pipeline of current and future requirements to enable savings forecasting and a smooth Procurement process
  • Understand and capture the detailed requirements of each business objective that requires third-party contracting and source third parties who can meet those requirements, by conducting research to create a shortlist and issuing a RFI where appropriate
  • Run the RFP process, coordinating supplier pitches, with the right internal stakeholders
  • Follow process outlined by Procurement Operations and supply that team with all the relevant data and detail to meet internal governance and processing requirements
  • Work cross-functionally to ensure stakeholders feed in their requirements and are part of the selection and engagement processes
  • Work to award and appoint new suppliers
  • Contract negotiations and drafting of commercial terms alongside Legal
  • Deliver and track savings and build a pipeline of future opportunities
  • Develop the category strategy roadmap, sharing with stakeholders to ensure alignment, drive greater collaboration

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
