Job Title: Sourcing Manager (RFQ & Supplier Governance)

Contract Type: Temporary
Contract Length: 6 Months (Likely Extension)
Location: Halifax, Bristol, or Edinburgh
Working Pattern: 2 days per week in the office, Via Umbrella Company

Our client is seeking a dynamic Technology Sourcing Manager to enhance their large-scale technology sourcing and supplier management function. This pivotal role supports the delivery of essential resource and sourcing activities across multiple technology teams, making it an exciting opportunity for a commercially savvy sourcing professional.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage technology resource sourcing requests across diverse technology teams.
  • Lead and support RFQ activities, supplier engagement, and proposal evaluations.
  • Review and challenge supplier Work Orders to ensure compliance and commercial value.
  • Oversee Purchase Orders and related sourcing documentation.
  • Draught and assist in the creation of Work Orders and commercial documentation.
  • Provide expert guidance on contract terms, approval processes, and supplier obligations.
  • Collaborate closely with stakeholders to understand demand requirements and identify suitable sourcing solutions.
  • Challenge sourcing decisions to ensure cost-effective and suitable supplier choices.
  • Support the resolution of supplier performance, resourcing, and commercial issues.
  • Ensure adherence to governance, delegated authority, and risk management standards.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with internal stakeholders, suppliers, and sourcing colleagues.
  • Identify opportunities for enhancing sourcing processes and Work Order governance.

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • Proven experience in sourcing, procurement, commercial management, or supplier management.
  • Demonstrated experience managing or supporting RFQ/RFP processes.
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills.
  • Experience in reviewing and challenging supplier proposals, Statements of Work, or Work Orders.
  • Commercially astute, balancing business needs with governance requirements.
  • Proficient in engaging with suppliers and managing commercial discussions.
  • Capable of working independently while managing multiple priorities.

Desirable Experience:

  • Background in technology sourcing or IT procurement.
  • Experience in Purchase Order review and approval.
  • Contract management experience is a plus.
  • Knowledge of contingent labour or professional services sourcing.
  • Negotiation experience.
  • Familiarity with regulated or large corporate environments.
