Located in the heart of one of the UK's most popular coastal destinations, Holiday Inn Bournemouth is a busy, modern hotel welcoming a mix of leisure, corporate and event guests throughout the year. With a vibrant food and beverage operation and a strong focus on delivering memorable guest experiences.

We're passionate about developing great people, creating inclusive workplaces and giving our teams the opportunity to build rewarding careers in hospitality. Whether you're looking to take the next step in your culinary journey or continue developing your leadership experience, you'll find the support, opportunities and culture to help you thrive.

A Day in the Life of...

As Sous Chef, you'll play a key role in the day-to-day success of the kitchen, supporting the Head Chef to deliver consistently high standards across every service.

  • You'll lead from the front during busy shifts, coaching and developing junior chefs while ensuring every dish leaves the kitchen with pride and consistency.
  • From menu development and stock control to maintaining food safety standards and managing kitchen performance, you'll help create an environment where both the team and the business can thrive.

This is a hands-on leadership role that combines creativity, organisation and commercial awareness. You'll work closely with colleagues across the hotel to help deliver outstanding food experiences while maintaining strong kitchen standards and profitability.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Equally important is your ability to stay calm under pressure, organise effectively and maintain the high standards expected within a busy hotel operation.
