Sous Chef — St James - up to 55k
My client is one of London's most talked-about restaurants, celebrated for a bold, flavour-driven approach to modern British cooking and a genuine commitment to sustainability. Michelin-listed and B Corp certified, they champion zero-waste, root-to-stem cooking, using the best of British seasonal produce to create dishes that are as inventive as they are indulgent.
Since opening, the restaurant has earned a reputation as a pioneer of conscious dining in the capital, proving that sustainable cooking can be exciting, relaxed and full of energy. This is a kitchen built on creativity, craft and a genuine passion for doing things differently.
Sous Chef role
I am looking for a talented and driven Sous Chef to join the senior kitchen team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious chef to develop their career within one of London's most exciting and progressive restaurant groups, working alongside a passionate, high-performing brigade.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
