Il Bambini Club is a festive, generous trattoria born in Paris and brought to London. Set within The Hoxton, Shoreditch, it’s a lively celebration of Italian-inspired food, colour and joy, with bold interiors, live music and a buzzing atmosphere.
About the Role
As Sous Chef, you’ll work closely with the Head Chef to lead the kitchen team, ensuring consistently high standards across food quality, preparation and service. You’ll be hands-on in the kitchen while helping to motivate and develop the team and keep the operation running smoothly during busy services.

What You’ll Be Doing
- Supporting the Head Chef in the day-to-day running of the kitchen
- Leading and motivating the kitchen team during service
- Maintaining consistently high standards of food quality, presentation and consistency
- Ensuring all food preparation and service runs efficiently and to specification
- Helping with ordering, stock control and minimising food waste
- Maintaining excellent food hygiene, health & safety and cleanliness standards
- Supporting with training and development of junior members of the team
- Taking responsibility for the kitchen in the Head Chef’s absence
- Working collaboratively with the wider restaurant team to deliver a great guest experience
