Sous Chef – Lovely Golf Club
£35k + benefits
This is an exciting opportunity to work as a Sous Chef in a thriving and dynamic golf club which is part of a growing collection of hospitality businesses. This golf business in the Woking area delivers a combination of weddings, events, a busy clubhouse offering, and a bustling driving range experience.
My client takes pride in the food they serve and the events they hold for members and non-members alike. As a Sous Chef, you’ll be a key part of the kitchen team, bringing dishes to life with creativity and skill. You’ll have the opportunity to help shape the menu and develop yourself under the guidance of an exceptional Head Chef.

- Assist the Head Chef in developing and implementing menus that align with our high standards and innovative culinary vision.
- Prepare, cook, and plate dishes in a timely and efficient manner.
- Oversee the kitchen staff in the Head Chef's absence to ensure consistent quality, presentation, and speed of service.
- Ensure food preparation and storage comply with health and safety regulations and standards.
- Minimize waste and maintain food costs by adhering to portion control guidelines and proper inventory management.
- Uphold the highest standards of cleanliness and organization in the kitchen area.
- Continuously expand current knowledge of culinary trends and techniques to introduce new menu items and flavors.

Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen environment.
- Former experience as a Sous Chef or equivalent role preferred.
- Degree or certification in Culinary Arts or a related field.
- Solid knowledge of culinary techniques and tools.
- Ability to stand for long periods, lift heavy objects, and work in a hot and fast-paced environment.
- Outstanding leadership, time management, and communication skills.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
