Role Description
The Sous Chef will support the Head Chef in planning, preparing, and presenting dishes to a high standard for events and regular catering services. Responsibilities include:

- Overseeing daily kitchen operations
- Coordinating food production
- Ensuring food safety and hygiene
- Supervising kitchen staff during service
- Assisting with menu development
- Managing stock and inventory
- Maintaining equipment and workspace cleanliness

This is a full-time, on-site role based in Stockport, requiring flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and event-specific schedules.
Qualifications
- Strong culinary skills, including experience in food preparation, cooking techniques, and plating for large and small events.
- Knowledge of food safety, hygiene regulations, and best practices in a professional kitchen environment.
- Experience in kitchen operations, including stock control, ordering, and maintaining equipment and work areas.
- Ability to supervise and support kitchen staff, delegate tasks, and work collaboratively under time pressure.
- Good organizational and time-management skills, with attention to detail and consistency in quality.
- Prior experience as a Sous Chef or senior kitchen role in catering, restaurants, or similar settings is highly beneficial.
- Relevant culinary qualifications or professional training are an advantage.
- Willingness to work on-site in Stockport with flexible hours to meet business and event needs.
