Hours: Full Time, Flexible Working Pattern (including evenings and weekends as required)
Contract Type: Permanent
We are looking for a talented and passionate Sous Chef to join our Catering Team at our world-class Staplewood Training Campus.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced chef to play a key role in supporting the delivery of high-quality food and nutrition services for first-team players, academy players, staff and guests. Working closely with our Performance Chef and Performance Nutrition Team, you will help create exceptional dining experiences that support elite sporting performance.
What will you be doing?
As Sous Chef, you will support the day-to-day operation of the kitchen, ensuring the highest standards of food quality, presentation, hygiene and service are consistently maintained.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting the Performance Chef in planning, preparing and delivering nutritious, high-quality meals for players, staff and visitors.
- Supporting the development of menus that align with performance nutrition requirements.
- Supervising and motivating kitchen colleagues to deliver excellent standards.
- Ensuring food is prepared and presented to the highest quality and consistency.
- Supporting stock control, ordering and budget management processes.
- Ensuring compliance with all food safety, hygiene and health and safety regulations.
- Assisting with catering provision for meetings, events and matchday requirements where required.

Is this you?
We're looking for someone who is passionate about food, thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in delivering exceptional service.
Essential skills and experience:
- Previous experience working as a Sous Chef or Senior Chef de Partie in a high-quality catering environment.
- Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene legislation.
- Experience leading and developing kitchen teams.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively and maintain high standards under pressure.
- Food Safety Level 3 qualification (or willingness to obtain).

- Knowledge of sports nutrition principles.
- Experience catering for large groups and events.
