We are looking for an experienced Sous Chef to join the kitchen team at a beautiful restaurant inn in the Lake District. This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate and reliable chef looking for ongoing work in a stunning location.

  • Supporting the Head Chef with the day-to-day running of the kitchen
  • Preparing, cooking and presenting dishes to a high standard
  • Leading and supporting the kitchen team during service
  • Ensuring your section runs efficiently and effectively
  • Maintaining high food hygiene, health & safety and kitchen standards
  • Managing stock levels, deliveries and food rotation
  • Taking responsibility for the kitchen in the Head Chef’s absence
  • Training and mentoring junior members of the team

What we’re looking for:

  • Previous experience as a Sous Chef is essential
  • Strong leadership skills
