The Plough Inn, Ealing | Full Time
Join Fuller’s: Where the true you thrives and diversity is embraced. At Fuller’s we don't just offer jobs, we invite you to celebrate your authentic self. Our four core values – doing things the right way, being part of the family, celebrating individuality and always asking what's next? – define the essence of who we are.
About The Plough
The Plough Inn is a vibrant, food-led pub in West London, with a chic retro style, loyal local following and a warm, welcoming atmosphere. We're busy, particularly around our live music and events, and we're proud of offering great food alongside a strong pub experience.
We're now looking for a Sous Chef to join our kitchen team, with live-in accommodation available. This is an opportunity for an experienced Sous Chef, or a strong CDP ready to take the next step, to become an important part of the kitchen leadership team at The Plough.
What you'll be doing
Working closely with our Head Chef, you'll help run the kitchen day to day and take full responsibility when they're away. You'll:
- Lead the kitchen team during busy services and help keep standards high
- Take pride in preparing fresh, seasonal food and maintaining consistency
- Support menu development and bring new ideas to the kitchen
- Help with ordering, prep, service and stock control
- Develop and support junior members of the team
- Make sure food safety, hygiene and kitchen standards are always maintained
- Help create a positive kitchen environment where people enjoy coming to work
- Take pride in every successful service

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
