Location: Charles River Labs, Tranent, EH33 2NE
Pay: £14.97/hour
Hours: Permanent, 37.5 hours/week, Monday to Friday
Shift times: Monday to Friday 7.00am to 3.00pm, leaving your evenings free - a rarity when you work within culinary!
Aramark UK is currently recruiting a Sous Chef to join our team working at Charles River Laboratories, Tranent.
You will be working as part of a fantastic team, preparing food, with your main focus on making and cooking fresh pizzas in our brand new catering service and providing excellent customer service throughout. You will be required to perform food preparation, which includes making fresh pizzas, deli and salad bar prep, soup and sauces. You will also be expected to perform general cleaning tasks both back and front of house.

What you’ll do:
- Food preparation including making fresh pizzas daily, sandwiches, salad and deli bar prep, soup and sauces.
- Serving customers and on occasion operating the till, providing opportunities for upselling products, and ensuring you are providing excellent customer service at all times.
- Stocking up and putting away deliveries
- General cleaning back and front of house, making sure the unit is clean and tidy before, during and after service.
- Supporting lunch team briefs and being an Allergen Champion
- Responsible for food safety controls during service and supporting the Catering Manager and Head Chef team with stock control and ordering
What we’re looking for:
