Sous Chef

Salary

£42,000 per annum

Location

City of London, EC2M 2AT

Shift Pattern

Monday-Friday, 40 hours per week

Key Responsibilities

  • Work alongside the Chef Manager and wider team to produce exciting, fresh and imaginative food, with as much made from scratch as possible.
  • Support a varied hospitality offer, from formal and informal breakfasts and lunches to events, buffets and everything in between.
  • Help develop menus with a modern European feel, while bringing in inspiration and flavours from further afield.
  • Take pride in the detail and presentation of every dish, making sure food is consistently fresh, delicious and well presented.
  • Support and work as part of a team of 8 across Hospitality and Reception, helping the kitchen run smoothly on busy and varied days.
  • Keep on top of food safety, HACCP and health & safety, maintaining high standards throughout the kitchen.
  • Bring new ideas to the table and keep looking for ways to develop and move the food offer forward.

Ideal Candidate

A confident, experienced chef who genuinely loves cooking. You’ll be organised, have a good eye for detail and be comfortable working across a varied hospitality operation. You’ll have strong food safety and HACCP knowledge, but just as importantly, you’ll be keen to learn, try new ideas and create really great food.
