JOIA is the first London restaurant by award-winning two Michelin-starred Portuguese chef Henrique Sá Pessoa.
About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sous Chef to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will work closely with the Executive Chef to oversee kitchen operations, manage staff, and ensure the highest standards of food quality and service.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Executive Chef in managing daily kitchen operations.
- Oversee the preparation and presentation of all dishes.
- Ensure all food is prepared to the highest quality standards.
- Manage and mentor kitchen staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
- Assist in menu planning and development.
- Maintain inventory and order supplies as needed.
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations.

Requirements
- Proven experience as a Sous Chef in a high-volume restaurant.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- In-depth knowledge of culinary techniques and food presentation.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
