PPM Recruitment are currently recruiting for an experienced Sous Chef to join our client's kitchen team.
Position: Sous Chef
Pay Rate: up to GBP17.48p/h inc hol pay
Hours: 40 hours per week
Job Type: Temporary / Permanent opportunities may be available
The Role
We are looking for a reliable and experienced Sous Chef to support the Head Chef and wider kitchen team in delivering a high standard of food and service.

- Assist the Head Chef with the day-to-day running of the kitchen
- Prepare and cook food to a consistently high standard
- Support the kitchen team during busy service periods
- Ensure food is prepared and presented correctly
- Maintain high standards of food hygiene and cleanliness
- Assist with stock rotation and stock control
- Minimise food waste and maintain good kitchen organisation
- Follow all health and safety and food hygiene procedures
- Support junior members of the kitchen team
- Help ensure the smooth running of the kitchen

About You
- Previous experience working as a Sous Chef or experienced Chef
- Good knowledge of food preparation and cooking
- Understanding of food hygiene and health and safety
- Able to work well under pressure
- Reliable, hardworking and organised
- Good communication and teamwork skills
