Sous Chef

The Fellow is a popular North London establishment near King’s Cross and St Pancras train stations, featuring a pub, a cocktail bar, and a heated roof terrace. We serve seasonal menus, including Sunday roasts, and offer a selection of craft beers and cocktails.

Requirements

  • Existing Sous Chef or Senior CDP looking for their next step
  • Natural leader with a passion and flare for producing quality fresh food
  • Experience championing excellent service through quality food
  • Passion for leading and developing a team
  • Active hands-on Chef with excellent communication skills
  • Responsible and able to manage the kitchen staff rota, training, and all health and safety effectively
  • Ability to demonstrate creativity by helping to design and deliver new dishes
  • Great planning and organisational skills, necessary to maintain effective controls with regard both GP and labour
  • Pro-active approach to driving sales and delivering growth

Responsibilities

  • Work alongside the Head Chef to create menus and specials
  • Lead and develop the kitchen team
  • Manage the kitchen staff rota, training, and health and safety
  • Design and deliver new dishes for menus and daily specials
  • Maintain effective GP and labour controls
  • Drive sales and deliver growth through team engagement
