Job Purpose

The South Bus & Coach Sales Manager is responsible for delivering Sales for the South of England. These sales can be direct through yourself or through the existing Dealer Network. You will be tasked with growing the Dealer Network. You will also be asked to formulate and execute effective sales strategies & targets, overseeing a dynamic Dealer Network, managing inventory levels and establishing and maintaining strong relationships with customers and stakeholders.

It is not required for candidates to have experience in selling Bus & Coach. This role is a selling Sales Manager role.

This role requires a combination of leadership, business acumen, automotive industry knowledge, and customer service skills to successfully manage and grow a motor trade business.

  1. Strategic Leadership: Developing and implementing strategic plans to achieve business goals, such as sales targets and profitability.
  2. Team Management: Managing, leading and motivating the Dealer Network. This includes recruitment, training, tracking sales performance and performance evaluation.
  3. Sales and Marketing: Driving sales through effective marketing strategies, customer relationship management, and sales techniques.
  4. Customer Relations: Ensuring exceptional customer service and satisfaction. Handling customer complaints or issues to maintain the reputation our business was built on.
  5. Innovation and Technology: Keeping up with Product, Market and industry trends and implementing new technologies and tools to improve business operations.

Essential Knowledge, Skills & Experience

  • Proven track record in Sales, with a history of exceeding sales targets and profitability with a distributor or main dealer
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing effective sales strategies and marketing campaigns.
  • Leadership and team management skills to motivate.
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret sales data, identify trends and make informed business decisions.
  • Negotiation and persuasion abilities to establish partnerships with potential clients and close deals.
  • Strategic planning and quick problem-solving skills to ensure the customer journey is a smooth one.
  • As this is a field based role, organisational and time management skills are imperative.
  • Knowledge and understanding of customer expectations and experience in delivering excellent customer service every time.
