South Indian Cook in Singapore
We are Sisco Jobs, a recruitment consultancy based in Trichy, Tamil Nadu. We are hiring on behalf of our client, for the position of South Indian Cook in Singapore.
Our client is seeking experienced South Indian cooking professionals with strong knowledge of traditional dishes, kitchen operations, and food preparation techniques. Candidates must have more than five years of relevant experience and demonstrate their cooking abilities through working videos and a menu list.
Selected candidates will receive food and accommodation. The position requires 12–14 working hours per day, with one day off per week.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare authentic South Indian dishes, including breakfast, lunch, and dinner menus.
- Cook dosa, idli, vada, sambar, rasam, chutneys, and regional curries to consistent standards.
- Manage ingredient preparation, cooking processes, and kitchen operations.
- Maintain food quality, taste, portion control, and presentation.
- Follow food safety, sanitation, and hygiene practices.
- Coordinate preparation schedules to ensure timely meal service.
- Maintain kitchen equipment, storage areas, and ingredient stock.
- Support menu planning and demonstrate cooking techniques when required.

Required Skills
- South Indian Cooking: Strong practical knowledge of traditional recipes, ingredients, and cooking methods.
- Kitchen Handling: Ability to manage daily preparation, cooking stations, and kitchen workflow.
- Menu Knowledge: Capability to prepare and explain a comprehensive South Indian menu.
- Food Quality Control: Consistency in taste, presentation, portioning, and food preparation.
- Food Hygiene: Knowledge of safe food handling, storage, cleaning, and contamination prevention.

Preferred Skills
- Experience in high-volume restaurant or hotel kitchens.
- Knowledge of Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Andhra, and Karnataka cuisine.
- Experience with inventory control and food cost management.
Work Experience Requirements
- More than five years of relevant cooking experience is mandatory. Candidates should have hands-on experience preparing South Indian cuisine and managing kitchen operations. Working videos and a menu list must be submitted to demonstrate their skills.
