A Bit About What You Will Do
The Spa Manager ensures that the highest standards of customer care and therapy procedures are followed, in order to ensure the highest possible guest satisfaction.
It is the Spa Manager's responsibility to ensure the Spa Department operates effectively and efficiently for the best possible guest and staff experience whilst achieving the Spa’s business goals and successful outcomes.
- To manage the Spa and Fitness Centre operations and provide the strategic direction required to ensure that the departmental objectives are met; this will include formulating 90-day plans and projects that have been assigned by the General/Hotel Manager.
- Foster close relationships with the Sales & Marketing team to ensure that there are action plans in place to actively explore and pursue opportunities for business development in order to maximise local marketing and increase revenue.
- Communicate and enforce Spa and Leisure policies and procedures.
- Develop SOPs for both the Spa and Fitness Centre and ensure that all work is undertaken in compliance with all Standard Operating Procedures, legislation, and Code of Practices.
- Ensure that all training needs are identified and appropriate measures are in place to develop the team.
- Create a spa environment and experience that distinguishes our brand from the competition and delivers superior service and value; ensure guests and members are greeted upon arrival and invited back upon departure.
- Maintain adequate spa inventories and ensure facilities are prepared for daily services.
- Responsible for therapy training and treatment quality, ensuring all therapists are up to date with treatment protocol and product core values.
- Restock and reset treatment room when finished with shift, including emptying trash, transporting dirty linens to laundry, stocking linen shelves, sweeping the room after salt treatments, and cleaning mirrors and sinks.
- Make recommendations to guests’ body conditioning activities or treatment products for home care.
- Maintain records of treatments furnished to customers in accordance with established procedures.
- Ensure that departmental meetings occur on a regular basis and cover appropriate topics to ensure the teams are driving forward with the department/hotel strategy.
- To ensure all Company Health & Safety requirements are met consistently and that the teams are aware of their obligations.
- It is the responsibility of the Spa & Fitness Manager to ensure our team members and guests are in a safe environment at all times.
- Manage the department's costs in line with the department's P&L and be responsible for achieving the budget.

Qualifications
- Pool Plant qualification
- ITEC Level 3 Diploma in Beauty Therapy
- NVQ Certificate/Diploma in Beauty Therapy at Level 3
- National Pool Lifeguard Qualification
- First Aid qualified
