At The Headland, we blend Heritage with Heart to create unforgettable experiences. We are deeply committed to putting the Cornish community first and protecting our stunning coastline. As a proud EarthCheck partner, eco-friendly practices are in our DNA. We don't just talk about sustainability; we live it every day. Together, we provide effortless, elevated hospitality in spaces designed for everyone—where our guests (and their four-legged friends!) can relax, play, and make lifelong memories.
The Role
We have an exciting role available for a Spa Receptionist to be the first point of contact for guests and members and ensure a warm, memorable, and personalised welcome to the Aqua Club & Headland Spa. The Aqua Club is our multi-million-pound leisure complex, comprising of six pools, a sun terrace with impressive ocean views, and a stunning restaurant named The Deck.
As our Spa Receptionist, you will work across both Reception desks in the Aqua Club and Headland Spa, greeting every guest with a smile and using your natural warmth to make every interaction memorable. You will know and understand what it means to deliver genuine hospitality and will thrive on the challenge of always exceeding our guests and members' expectations.
Organised and confident, you will demonstrate an ability to multitask in a busy but relaxed environment by the coast, whilst maintaining a proactive and passionate approach to guest care. At the Headland, we pride ourselves on our ‘one-team’ approach, therefore a team-work mindset will benefit you greatly in forming excellent relationships with both the Aqua Club, Spa, and wider hotel team.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
