About CosmicMaker

CosmicMaker Ltd is a subsidiary of Photocentric Ltd based in Cambridgeshire. Photocentric is one of the world’s leading innovators in 3D printing. CosmicMaker’s mission is to own the field of manufacturing beyond the surface of the Earth, on the Moon, on space stations, and ultimately on Mars.

CosmicMaker has patented technology to manufacture a range of materials using an enclosed chamber and a centrifuge in microgravity, uniquely positioning it to capitalise on the imminent growth in investment on the lunar surface.

The Role

This is a unique opportunity for an experienced Space Design Engineer to lead the design and construction of the third CosmicMaker printer CM III, which we aim to launch into space and return to Earth to validate its performance. Subsequent development will include CM IV, which will complete the full process of manufacturing plastics, ceramics and metals on the lunar surface.

As the key Design Engineer you will lead a project from its earliest stages, working in a hands-on, creative and self-directed way, while drawing on the support and resources of a wider engineering team. You will be at the beginning of a company shaping the future of commercial exploitation and human life on other planets.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
