At ClearSpace

We believe in reusability, in affordability driving disruption, and that no progress is real unless it is sustainable.

Our company was founded in 2018 out of the realization that in-orbit servicing and space debris removal are vital services for the future of space exploration and operations. Today ClearSpace has assembled an expert engineering team and is leading the way toward sustainable space operations. From a garage in Switzerland, we now operate across UK and Europe, and are working with world-leading institutions and companies to bring our dream of a sustainable space ecosystem to life.

We are looking for a Spacecraft Operations Engineer to join our team who will work on both our current missions and future projects.

The Role

We are seeking a Spacecraft Operations Engineer to contribute to the end-to-end design, development, and execution of mission operations. You will shape operations planning by collaborating on the development of long-term mission timelines, scheduling ground station passes, and forecasting resource utilisation. You will perform operations execution by managing real-time spacecraft commanding, monitoring and anomaly resolutions. Additionally, you will support operational readiness through simulation campaigns and oversee long-term on-orbit spacecraft health and safety to ensure mission success.

Key Responsibilities

Mission Design

  • System Lifecycle Alignment: Contribute to end-to-end mission operations design mapped to spacecraft development schedules, system architectures, and requirements.
  • Milestone Reviews: Provide operations expertise at design reviews and bid proposals.
  • Standards & Best Practices: Establish rigorous industry standards, strict configuration management, and flight ops processes to ensure high mission assurance.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
