The Role
The role will involve managing spare parts enquiries from both customers and our service engineers, identifying the correct components, preparing quotations, processing orders and maintaining accurate stock records.
You will also be responsible for liaising with manufacturers and suppliers, ordering replacement stock and helping to ensure our spare parts operation runs efficiently.
This is a varied role and would suit someone with good organisational skills, strong attention to detail and an interest in machinery, engineering or technical products.

Main Responsibilities
- Responding to spare parts enquiries by telephone and email.
- Identifying the correct parts using machine details, part numbers, technical drawings and parts manuals.
- Preparing quotations and processing customer orders.
- Liaising with manufacturers and suppliers regarding pricing, availability and technical information.
- Ordering stock and managing spare parts replenishment.
- Maintaining accurate stock quantities, pricing and product information.
- Receiving and checking incoming deliveries.
- Picking, packing and arranging dispatch of customer orders.
- Supplying parts to service engineers for maintenance, repairs and breakdown visits.
- Maintaining an organised spare parts warehouse and stock location system.
- Assisting with stock checks and stock control.
- Updating spare parts products on the R&J Machinery website.
- Monitoring regularly used parts and helping to maintain suitable stock levels.
- Supporting the wider sales, service and engineering teams where required.
Candidate Requirements
Previous experience in spare parts, engineering, machinery, automotive, manufacturing or a similar technical environment would be advantageous, although not essential, whilst product-specific training will be provided.

The successful candidate should have:
- Good organisational and administrative skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Confident telephone and email communication skills.
- A professional approach when dealing with customers and suppliers.
- Good general computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
- The ability to work accurately with part numbers and technical information.
- The ability to manage several enquiries and orders at the same time.
- A practical and organised approach to problem-solving.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience with stock-control or e-commerce systems would be useful but is not essential.

Salary - £25,000 - £30,000
