Job Description
Position: Spare Parts Sales Coordinator
Location: West Midlands, B95 6BP
Responsible to: Reporting to After Market Sales and Support Manager
Main purpose of the Role:
The main purpose of this role is to offer first line assistance to all AMMANN UK Asphalt Plant customers, helping them with procuring the spare parts/components they need for their plant repairs or maintenance projects.
Assisting with customer parts enquiries & orders, plus upselling other parts, components or accessories to drive revenue levels whilst supporting the day-to-day workload of the engineers and customer service requirements.
This is a key role building strong relationships with all customers, the internal team, service engineers, managers & directors whilst delivering a highly professional parts and service offering.
Duties:
- Take parts enquiries & orders over the telephone & email
- Advise customers on the parts required to complete their specific works
- Give customers the required technical & specification details for specific parts
- Source alternative parts (like for like) if standard parts aren’t readily available
- Take parts orders/enquiries from internal field service engineers
- Ship parts using couriers/hauliers to customers & remote field-based engineers
- Ordering & proactive picking of parts held in our office stores/warehouse for specific jobs & ensuring delivery to correct address
- Stock management & ordering to ensure correct levels are maintained in all warehouses
- Receive & check in all parts deliveries into our office
- Build strong & positive relationships with all AMMANN UK customers
- Chase open quotes to turn into orders
- Chase open orders with the factories/suppliers & update system and customers accordingly
- To grow sales revenue of Parts to all our customers
- Maintain up-to-date plant manuals and other necessary documents/systems
- Step in to provide administrative support wherever needed to ensure business continuity

Attributes required:
- At least 2 years’ experience in a service/parts/customer focused role
- Parts/service background is desirable, but we would consider candidates with general knowledge of parts or with interest in engineering/manufacturing
- Knowledge of plant & machinery would be advantageous
- Strong customer service/sales skills alongside good communication skills
- Knowledge of ERP systems (SAP / SAGE) is ideal, but training will be given
- Full UK driving licence & own car required
- Ability to work confidently within a team but also good initiative and an ability to think outside the box to problem solve
- A positive attitude and excellent interpersonal skills
- Strong organisational skills
- Ability to prioritise & self-manage daily workload
- Confident, professional telephone manner
- Attention to detail
- Experience in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
