Special Educational Needs Teacher
Location: Staines-upon-Thames
Pay: £150–£190 per day
Start Date: October 2026
Contract: Full-Time | Long-Term
Milk Education are working with a specialist SEN school in Staines-upon-Thames who are looking for a compassionate and dedicated Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teacher to join their team from October 2026. This role would suit a teacher who is passionate about supporting children with additional needs and creating an inclusive learning environment where every pupil can thrive.
Role
- Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to pupils with a range of special educational needs, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH and complex learning needs.
- Adapt teaching strategies to meet individual EHCP targets and learning styles.
- Work closely with Teaching Assistants, therapists, SENCOs and other professionals to provide a holistic approach to learning.
- Monitor, assess and record pupil progress, celebrating achievements and identifying next steps.
- Promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing through consistent, nurturing approaches.
- Create a safe, inclusive and stimulating classroom environment where every child feels valued.

About You
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
- Experience working with children with Special Educational Needs, either in a specialist or mainstream setting.
- Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
- A patient, resilient and adaptable approach to teaching.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- A genuine passion for helping children with additional needs achieve their full potential.
