St Saviour's C of E Primary School is seeking an outstanding, enthusiastic and committed Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator (SENCO) to join our dedicated team. This is an exciting opportunity to make a significant difference to the lives of children with additional needs whilst leading and developing SEND provision across our thriving school.
We are looking for someone who:
- Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Has substantial teaching experience and experience working with children with a range of SEND.
- Has a thorough understanding of the SEND Code of Practice.
- Has experience of leading and developing provision across a school.
- Can provide professional support and guidance to colleagues, parents and external agencies.
- Is committed to achieving the very best outcomes for all pupils.
- Has excellent communication, leadership and organisational skills.
- Holds the National Professional Qualification for SENCOs or is willing to complete it within three years of appointment.

In this role you will:
- Lead the strategic development of SEND provision throughout the school.
- Manage the day-to-day operation of the school's SEND policy.
- Coordinate support for pupils with SEND and monitor its impact.
- Work closely with families, staff, governors and external agencies.
- Be a key member of the school's leadership team.
- Lead and develop staff to ensure high-quality provision for all learners.
- Support safeguarding and inclusion for pupils with additional needs.
