Special Sergeant to Special Inspector Wolverhampton LPA | Dudley LPA | Sandwell LPA

- External Special Sergeants seeking to progress to Special Inspector
- Current substantive Special Inspectors transferring to West Midlands Police
About the Role
Applicants must meet the following eligibility criteria for immediate promotion to Special Inspector:

- Monitor and manage team performance
- Drive improvement in efficiency and adherence to high standards

- Supervise a team
- Prioritise officer well-being and motivation
- Deliver an effective and responsive front-line policing service

- Collaborate seamlessly with internal/external partners
- Ensure a public-facing service that is both effective and efficient
Note: No résumé required.
Eligibility
- Internal candidates must discuss suitability for promotion with their line manager prior to applying.
- Applicants cannot have a live sanction from misconduct proceedings.
- Investigated but not sanctioned individuals may apply but cannot be posted until the investigation concludes. The outcome will dictate confirmation.
- Must currently hold the substantive rank of Special Sergeant with:
- 12 monitored months at that rank (including time as an Acting Special Sergeant).
