About Zego

Insurance hasn't changed much in over a century. The way we live, work and travel has.

Good drivers are the entire point of Zego. Seven in 10 drivers on the road are consistently good, but until telematics came along there was no way to prove it, so nearly everyone paid a price based on averages. Zego is the company built to change that.

At Zego, we're leading the AI evolution in insurance.

We move fast, without the layers that usually slow things down. AI takes the routine work off every team, from Finance to Product to Marketing, so people ship real code and launch custom dashboards in minutes. Engineering commits are entirely AI-assisted, which shifts the focus from team size to the quality of your thinking, and our data warehouse connects directly to an AI assistant for instant answers. Backed by a modern tech stack (Claude Code, Snowflake, Figma and Zapier) and a commitment to adopting new tools in days rather than quarters, you get complete ownership to do the most impactful work of your career.

Do not take our word for it. Read what Zegons say about us on Glassdoor.

About the role

Reports to Zego's Deputy CEO.

This role exists to take on the problems that don't fit anywhere else. No two quarters will look the same. One might be launching a new product line. The next, building the framework and analysis that decides where we invest. Then designing an AI system that replaces a manual process, taking over a business unit and running it, leading a cross functional programme nobody else can unblock, or building the story we take to shareholders, investors and the Board.

It's the fastest way to understand how a leading AI company actually works{{:}} tech, product, marketing, operations, finance, regulation. You'll work directly with the people who run each of them.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

What you will be doing

  • Whole problems, not work-streams. You take something ambiguous, scope it, build the plan, win the buy-in, deliver it, then either hand it over or run it. Launching a new product. Rebuilding a revenue line that has stalled. Standing up a capability from nothing
  • Decisions worth making. You'll use quantitative and qualitative evidence to work out what's really going on, then make the call and defend it in front of the leadership team. Analysis that doesn't impact a decision isn't the job
  • AI that does real work. You'll design and build AI systems and workflows that take work off people's plates, in content, analysis, operations or reporting. We expect you to reach for AI first, and to be the person others copy
  • The narrative. Company wide updates, investor material, Board packs. You'll turn complicated business reality into something a smart outsider can follow in ten minutes

What you will need to be successful

  • Proof you've done something hard. A business you built, a product you launched, a number you moved, a broken thing you fixed. We care about what happened, not what you were responsible for
  • Real AI fluency. You've built your own tools, agents or workflows, not just used a chatbot. Come ready to show us
  • Speed with judgement. You've worked somewhere genuinely fast, most likely a high growth startup, strategy consulting or similar and you know the difference between impact and effort
  • Comfort with numbers and with people. You can build the model, then sit with an underwriter, a regulator or a shareholder and be taken seriously in both rooms
  • Ownership as an instinct. Nobody will hand you a brief, a template or a team. You'll find the work, prioritise it and finish it
  • Communication that lands. Clear writing, clear slides, clear thinking, in front of any audience from an engineer to the Board
  • You work AI-first. You will use AI daily here, and we mean daily. You do not need to arrive an expert, but you do need to arrive curious, experiment fast, and take ownership of getting good quickly. People who wait to be trained will find this uncomfortable
