Role Overview

The Special Projects Manager is responsible for the safe and controlled delivery of assigned enabling works and operational improvement projects across the Sizewell C Lead Logistics Partner programme. Reporting to the Special Projects Lead, the role manages projects from definition and planning through design coordination, procurement, delivery, testing and handover. Projects may include warehouse fit-out, utilities and infrastructure upgrades, security enhancements and new logistics capabilities, delivered without disrupting live operations.

What Do We Need From You

• Strong project-management experience delivering enabling works, infrastructure or operational-improvement projects.
• Demonstrable experience managing projects from definition through delivery, handover and close-out.
• Ability to maintain project programmes, risks, issues, dependencies and clear progress reporting.
• Experience coordinating designers, contractors, suppliers and operational stakeholders.
• Strong contractor-management capability covering mobilisation, performance, safety and quality.
• Commercial awareness with experience controlling scope, budget, change and supplier commitments.
• Ability to deliver safely within live operational environments without disrupting business-as-usual activity.
• Strong stakeholder-management, communication, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Confident use of Microsoft Office and project-planning and reporting tools.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills at all working and management levels.
• CITB HS&E Managers and Professionals certificate (MAPS) – must be obtained before the start date.
