Role: Specialist Clinical Pharmacist (Rotational)

Salary: Band 7
Location: Isle of Wight

PLEASE NOTE: MUST HAVE PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE WITH EITHER LARGE PRIVATE OR NHS HEALTHCARE SETTING

Xander Recruitment Group LTD is an approved NHS Framework Supplier. We are currently recruiting for a specialist clinical pharmacist (Rotational) on behalf of our client, an established NHS Trust on the Isle of Wight.

The role

The purpose of the post is to develop and operate high quality clinical pharmacy services to a number of defined clinical areas within a rotation. This is a practitioner post, and the post holder would be expected to work on their own initiative within guidelines and directions from the Head of Clinical Pharmacy Services and to supervise Trainee pharmacists, junior pharmacists, and technical staff.

The post holder will have involvement in policy writing, undertaking and initiating audit and active involvement in training and development of pharmacy staff and other healthcare professional groups.

Potential to cover travel and/or accommodation costs if applicable!

About you

  • Degree or Master’s Degree in Pharmacy
  • Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC)
  • Diploma in Clinical Pharmacy Practice or equivalent experience
  • Completed General Level Foundation Framework competency training
  • Significant experience of working in a pharmaceutical environment
  • Significant clinical pharmacy knowledge and experience
  • Significant experience of working in hospital pharmacy
  • Knowledge of national guidelines relating to medicines and pharmaceutical practice
  • Specialist knowledge and experience within a relevant clinical speciality
  • Ability to lead change and hold others to account.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of commissioning dynamics.
