About the Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic, conscientious and experienced individual to join our small team providing a radiation protection and diagnostic radiology physics service to NHS Highland and other boards.
This post is suitable for a clinical technologist who would like to undertake a diverse range of radiation protection and imaging physics services including radiation safety surveys / QA of diagnostic X-ray equipment, UV calibrations and personnel dosimetry.
The post is based at Inverness but there will be opportunities to travel throughout the Highlands and Western Isles. A full driving license is required.
Requirements
Applicants for this post must have a degree in Medical Technology, or other appropriate discipline (e.g. Healthcare Science, Radiography). HNC/HND, or equivalent qualifications, in Applied Physics or Electrical and Electronic Engineering etc, will be accepted provided the knowledge, training and experience profile matches the personal specification required. Applicants must have significant experience in a scientific discipline including radiation protection or diagnostic radiology QA and be eligible for registration as a Clinical Technologist. Less experienced candidates are also encouraged to apply and may be considered for initial appointment at a lower grade.
