Specialist, Commercial FP&A
At NewDay, Finance plays a critical role in shaping business decisions, driving investment choices, and helping the organisation deliver on its long-term strategy. As a Specialist, Commercial FP&A, you'll be at the heart of that activity, partnering with senior leaders to provide meaningful insight that supports growth, prioritisation, and value creation.
This is an exciting opportunity to combine commercial finance, business partnering, and strategic planning within a fast-paced environment. You'll help shape future business plans and provide the analysis and challenge that enables teams to make informed decisions. If you enjoy turning complex information into clear, actionable insight and building strong relationships across a business, this is the role for you.
How you'll contribute
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and planning activities for the Credit Business, helping the business make informed strategic and operational decisions.
- Deliver insightful financial analysis and performance reporting that highlights key drivers, trends, opportunities, and risks.
- Partner with senior stakeholders across the business to support investment decisions and strategic initiatives.
- Develop and enhance financial models, forecasts, and planning tools, including supporting the ongoing development of Anaplan.
- Provide commercial challenge and guidance on business proposals and initiatives to maximise value delivery.

We're looking for these essential skills
- A highly motivated self-starter who takes ownership of work and proactively delivers improvements to achieve objectives and deliver results.
- The ability to translate financial data into clear, meaningful insight that supports business decision-making.
- Strong financial planning, forecasting, and modelling skills, with the ability to analyse complex information and identify key drivers of performance.
- Experience building effective relationships with a wide range of stakeholders and influencing decisions through data-driven recommendations.
- The ability to communicate financial information clearly and confidently to both finance and non-finance audiences.
- A recognised accountancy qualification, or equivalent professional financial qualification, alongside a strong understanding of financial planning and analysis principles.

It's a plus if you also have these skills
- Knowledge of financial services, lending, payments, or regulated business environments.
- Experience working with enterprise planning tools such as Anaplan.
Externally, this role may also be known as Finance Business Partner or Senior FP&A Analyst.
