Mission Statement & Summary
As a Specialist, Credit Insights, you’ll turn complex data into clear insight that helps us understand where our customers and credit portfolio are heading. From forecasting arrears, insolvencies, and account balances to identifying emerging risks and opportunities, you’ll investigate the numbers, spot the story behind the data and help shape better business decisions.
This is a role for someone who is naturally curious, analytical, and investigative. You won’t just produce reports — you’ll challenge the data, explore what’s driving the trends, and translate your findings into insight that stakeholders can act on. You’ll work closely with Credit Risk, Finance, Strategy, and Customer Insights teams, with the opportunity to make a visible impact across the credit lifecycle.
How you’ll contribute
- Forecast and analyse credit performance, identifying trends across arrears, insolvencies, balances, and other key portfolio outcomes.
- Interrogate large datasets to uncover patterns, emerging risks, and opportunities, turning analysis into meaningful business insight.
- Develop and improve forecasting, MI, and analytical processes, helping turn individual analysis into scalable and repeatable solutions.
- Visualise and communicate complex findings through compelling dashboards and presentations that make data easy to understand.
- Collaborate across teams, partnering with Credit Risk, Finance, Strategy, Customer Insights, and Data teams to support informed decision-making and business change.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
