Specialist Dental Nurse
Location: 16B Hildyard Row, Catterick Garrison DL9 4DH
Salary: Competitive - Depending on experience and qualifications (dental-related)
Position Type: Part-time, Permanent
Schedule:
- Mon: 8.30am to 5.30pm
- Wed: 8.30am to 5.30pm
- Thurs: 8.30am to 5.30pm

We are looking for an enthusiastic and skilled Specialist Dental Nurse to join our team and contribute to our continued success.
The Role
As a Specialist Dental Nurse, you will play a vital role in supporting our dental practitioners and ensuring the highest standards of patient care. This part-time, permanent position offers a fantastic opportunity to develop your skills within a supportive and welcoming practice. You will work closely with the dental team to provide expert assistance during specialist procedures and maintain a safe, hygienic environment for patients and staff alike.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing chairside assistance to dentists during specialist dental treatments and procedures.
- Preparing and maintaining dental instruments and equipment in line with infection control protocols.
- Ensuring the treatment room is clean, organised, and compliant with Health & Safety regulations.
- Supporting patients throughout their visit, providing reassurance and clear communication.
- Maintaining accurate patient records and assisting with administrative tasks as required.
- Adhering to all clinical governance and regulatory standards within the practice.
- Participating in ongoing professional development and training to stay up to date with best practices.

Essential Qualifications & Skills
- Qualified Dental Nurse with current registration on the General Dental Council (GDC) Register.
- Experience working within a dental practice, preferably with exposure to specialist dental procedures.
- Strong understanding of infection control and health & safety standards.
- Excellent communication skills, with a friendly and patient-focused approach.
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
- Attention to detail and strong organisational skills.

- Additional qualifications or certifications in specialist dental nursing.
- Experience with sedation, orthodontics, or other specialist dental fields.
