Role Overview
We are recruiting a Specialist Grade doctor to provide for psychiatric needs of patients across Lincolnshire prisons (HMP Lincoln, HMP Morton Hall) and North Sea Camp. If you are interested in improving the lives of the most socially deprived population with complex health morbidities, then this job is for you. You will be providing mental healthcare with fellow doctors and other healthcare professionals through a polyclinic model with expertise in Physical Health, Mental Health, Substance Misuse, Dentistry, Physiotherapy, Podiatry, Sexual Health etc.
Responsibilities
You will be a senior and experienced clinician who can work autonomously to a level of defined competencies, as agreed within local clinical governance frameworks.
Requirements
You need to have completed a minimum of 12 years’ medical work (either continuous period or in aggregate) since obtaining a primary medical qualification, of which a minimum of six years should have been in a relevant psychiatric specialty including three years as a Core psychiatric trainee in UK.

Role Details
To provide high quality, trauma informed psychiatric care within integrated mental health teams across HMP Morton Hall, HMP Lincoln and North Sea Camp. The post holder will deliver assessment, diagnosis and treatment of people with severe mental illness, neurodevelopmental conditions and complex comorbidity in custodial settings, ensuring equivalence of care with community services. Support by an experienced Consultant Psychiatrist will be available.
Work Environment
You will join an outstanding-rated Trust delivering trauma-informed, equivalent mental healthcare within prisons, supported by strong medical leadership, protected SPA time and hybrid working.
A typical working week is likely to include clinics/patient reviews, team meeting, liaison with other professionals, including the GP, clinical administration, and supervision.
